Artist Bio

I was born in Slovakia but have called Canada home since a very young age. Existing between countries, languages, and cultures has always been a strong aspect of my identity and something that I explore through my art practice.

Making art has always been my way of exploring the world and making sense of my own feelings. Watching my mom create and experiment with her own art inspired me to start filling sketchbooks with wild ideas, doodles, and drawings as soon as I could hold a pencil. Those early habits of curiosity and playfulness have stayed with me, and I still approach each new piece with the same excitement and sense of discovery.

I now live in Lake Country, BC, on the territories of the Syilx Okanagan People, and the silvery green landscapes around me constantly inspire my work. I’m drawn to earthy colours, layered textures, and finding the balance between bold and gentle, capturing small moments in time that feel fleeting and special. The joy and mindfulness that come with creating are at the heart of everything I do — it’s a feeling I try to experience as often as possible.

Both my visual art and my writing are ways of exploring human-ness, identity, raw emotions, and spirituality. Through my work, I hope to share a little bit of that sense of wonder and connection that keeps me so inspired every day.

What is my logo all about?

The logo I designed for my art business is made of three spherical shapes that are meant to represent the three worlds I explore through my practice:

  • The inner world of emotions, impressions, and thoughts

  • The outer world of lived experiences and senses

  • The otherworld that exists beyond what is easily observable
